Welcome Back to The Sourdough School!

Hello everyone,

I’m delighted to welcome both our returning students and those joining us for the first time as we embark on another year of learning, discovery, and baking. Our new term starts on the 24th of September, and I’m looking forward to seeing you all—virtually, of course. I will be re inviting new students to the course Facebook page on the 24th. You need to be ready with a Facebook account for this to post your baking photos so I can work with you.

Important Information for All Students

1. Autumn Term Start Date: 24th September 2024
We will kick off the term with a welcome session on the 24th of September. Please mark your calendars and be ready with your zoom session in your personal calendars.

Step-by-Step Guide for Diploma Enrolment
I have recorded a video guide and a comprehensive guide to enrolling for you. Orientation Sessions.

 I will be providing live orientation sessions on Tuesday the 24th of September as follows.

    • September 24th – Welcome to new students – I will be showing you all around the site on your first evening.

  • Spring Term (10 sessions):
    • January 7th – Break
    • January 14th, 21st, 28th

    • April 22nd – Live Resume
    • April 29th, May 6th, 13th, 20th, 27th – Half Term

3. Genetic Testing for Bronze Students
For our Bronze Level students, a reminder that genetic testing is included as part of the Spring term curriculum. This test is a valuable tool for understanding your relationship with bread, digestion, and nutrition. I’m also excited to announce that starting next year, we’ll be offering this genetic testing as a standalone product. More details will be shared in the new year.

A Few Quick Reminders

  • Nutrigenomics – Understanding nutrigenomics is key to our personalised approach. Please take the time to read more about it here: Nutrigenomics Glossary this is a new topic next year in Spring term.
  • Please note that I will be in Tuscany until the 23rd of September, so please read this newsletter carefully before reaching out with questions. Most common queries should be addressed here.
  • It’s important to keep up with live sessions, as they are a core part of your learning. If you have any issues, please reach out to us.
