Step 3 — Your Personalised Bread Recipe — £699 Only available after completing Steps 1 and 2.

Most bread is made for everyone. Yours is made for you.

By this point Dr Kimbell knows you in extraordinary detail — your health history, your digestion, your genetics, your lifestyle, your family, and the way you actually live and cook. Drawing on everything gathered across your assessment and your nutrigenetic reports, she designs a complete personalised bread programme: your recipe, your flour blend, your fermentation approach, and a guide to eating your bread in a way that supports your health at every meal.

Every ingredient, every timing decision, every element of the recipe has a reason rooted in your specific biology. The result is a loaf that works for you — quietly, consistently, and deliciously — every single day.

Your personalised bread recipe report is delivered by email, with three months access to supporting lessons and recipes online.

If you would like to bake your bread with Dr Kimbell in person, this step is included in full as part of a workshop or retreat at The Sourdough School in Northamptonshire.

This step is only available once Steps 1 and 2 are complete — because without that foundation, true personalisation is not possible.

What to Expect

What goes into your personalised bread recipe

To create your recipe Dr Kimbell draws on everything gathered across Steps 1 and 2 — around eight hours of assessment, consultation, and analysis. This is what she takes into account:

Who you are Your age, life stage, occupation, and why you came — because a perimenopausal woman, a marathon runner, and a tired mother of toddlers all need fundamentally different bread.

Your health history Every diagnosed condition, medication, supplement, and recent illness — because each one changes what goes into your loaf and how it is fermented.

Your symptoms Not just what you experience, but when, how severely, and what triggers them — because bloating thirty minutes after eating tells a completely different story to bloating three hours later.

Your digestion Your gut transit time, bowel habits, energy patterns, and afternoon slumps — because your bread is designed to work with your digestive system, not against it.

Your relationship with bread What bread means to you, how you eat it, whether you eat mindfully or on the run, and whether you chew — because even the most perfectly designed loaf will not work if it is bolted down standing at the kitchen counter.

Your diet and lifestyle How many different plants you eat each week, whether you eat fermented foods, how stressed you are, how much you move, how you sleep, and how much water you drink — because bread does not exist in isolation.

Your family history The health conditions that run in your family — because they point to the genetic pathways most likely to need support.

Your nutrigenetic profile The results of your Lifecode Gx reports — analysed across the genes that govern how your body absorbs nutrients, manages inflammation, processes fibre, regulates blood sugar, handles stress, and produces energy — because this is where your recipe moves from very good nutrition into something precise.

Your fermentation The timing, temperature, hydration, and starter management of your bread — set specifically to maximise what your body can absorb, reduce what it struggles with, and produce the compounds your gut needs most.

Your botanical blend The specific combination of heritage grains, seeds, and functional ingredients chosen to deliver what your genetics and health picture call for — built from a library of over thirty plants.

How you will eat your bread The symbiotic and sequential eating guide that tells you what to eat alongside your bread, and in what order, to support the way it works in your body.

Who Can Benefit from this?

People with persistent bloating, IBS, or digestive discomfort who have been told there is nothing wrong with them.

People with fatigue, brain fog, or low energy who cannot find the cause.

People managing inflammation — joint pain, skin conditions, autoimmune conditions — who want to support their body through food.

People with blood sugar issues, insulin resistance, or type 2 diabetes who want to understand how bread can work for them rather than against them.

People with anxiety, low mood, or poor sleep who are beginning to understand the connection between their gut and their brain.

People in perimenopause or menopause navigating hormonal change and its effect on digestion, weight, and energy.

People with a family history of heart disease, cancer, or diabetes who want to take preventative action through what they eat every day.

Parents who want to bake bread that genuinely nourishes their whole family — including children with specific needs.

People who have tried every diet, every supplement, and every elimination protocol and still don’t feel right.

And people who simply love bread, believe in the power of real food, and want the most nourishing loaf it is possible to make — for their body, specifically.

What else do you need to know?

This is a clinical process, not an online  Dr Kimbell is a qualified nutrigenetics practitioner with a doctorate in Baking as Lifestyle Medicine. You will need tomato a commitment to baking  for your health, your genetics, your life — before she writes a single word of your recipe.

It works anywhere in the world. You do not need to come to Northamptonshire. Every consultation is conducted online, and your reports and recipe are delivered by email. Dr Kimbell works with people across the world.

The steps cannot be skipped or reversed. Step 3 is only possible because of Steps 1 and 2. This is not a policy — it is clinical logic. The recipe cannot exist without the foundation that precedes it.

This is preventative health, not alternative medicine. The BALM Protocol is integrated into NHS clinical practice at Bethlem Royal Hospital. This is evidence-based nutrition delivered through the most ordinary and accessible food in the world.

Your recipe is yours to keep and build on. This is not a programme that ends after 12 weeks. It is a bread for life — one that can be adjusted as your health evolves, your microbiome changes, and your life circumstances shift.

Spaces are extremely limited. Dr Kimbell personally conducts every consultation and writes every report and recipe herself. This cannot be scaled. There are very few places available at any one time.

Our workshops and retreats include everything. If you would prefer to do this in person, the entire three-step process is included in the cost of a workshop or retreat at The Sourdough School — making it exceptional value.
