Student Notice: Alumni & Second Year Developmental Group – Recipe Testing & Content Development Sessions
Dear Alumni and Second Year Students,
I am excited to invite you to a dedicated developmental group designed as a space for you to advance your skills, contribute to new ideas, and discuss the evolving content we are working on, from recipes to feature articles and beyond.
Session Schedule
Starting Thursday, 21st November, we will meet every Thursday from 6:00 pm to 6:45 pm. These sessions will align with the Oxbridge term timetable, following our regular term time schedule. Please refer to the term timetable as we will not be meeting over Christmas, Easter, half-term, or summer breaks.

Purpose of the Group
This space is designed to allow us to collaboratively refine Vanessa’s recipes, exchange ideas, and hold slightly more in-depth discussions on the recipe offering us the chance to shape content thoughtfully and cohesively.
Attendance & Support
While I intend to lead most sessions, there may be occasions when I am unable to attend due to teaching commitments. I am delighted to have Lisa Finnimore and Alice supporting these sessions and editing the recipes based on the feedback help with the recipe editing and content creation and step in to facilitate the meetings when necessary.
Feedback Mechanism
A formal feedback system is in place for recipe testing, and our first session will focus on familiarising you with this structure. Please don’t give feedback by email or verbally—I often forget to act on the advice!
Who Can Attend
Please note, this group is open exclusively to Alumni and Second Year students only. First Year students are not eligible for these sessions, as the focus is on more advanced discussions and skills development.
This will be a wonderful opportunity to connect, refine our craft, and work collaboratively on the content that shapes the future of baking. I look forward to seeing many of you there.
