They will be able to join Vanessa Kimbell, founder of the Sourdough School, in baking the ‘Basic Sourdough Tin Loaf’ from the book.
Over a series of Zoom lives from the 25th to 30th January 2022, Vanessa will be proving that baking nutritious, delicious sourdough bread doesn’t have to be complicated! Join our baking community while we build our starters, mix our dough, ferment and bake. This recipe is a perfect entry level loaf. Made with 50/50 wholegrain and white flour, it’s high in fibre and so can help to feed the good bacteria in our gut.
On this bake-along, Vanessa will be talking about her new book, the exciting changes going on at the Sourdough Club and the Sourdough School…and of course the nutritional benefits of sourdough bread!
There are many reasons why people bake sourdough: it is easier to digest, more nutritious and absolutely delicious. However, it has a reputation for being tricky and time-consuming.
Vanessa’s approach in the book is about making sourdough that fits in with real life: how to slow-ferment everyday bakes in just 10 minutes of active work, so that you can actually bake and enjoy the most delicious bread in the world.
Each recipe can be made over a 36-hour period, but with just 10 minutes actual work (excluding baking time). The recipes include seasonal pan loaves, cakes, focaccia-style loaves, a simple pizza, and several celebration recipes.
If you have bought or received a book, please fill in the form below. If you are past or present member of the Sourdough Club go to the forum to find out more.
