Half Term, New Articles, IPM Conference & Last chance to book Tuscan Graduation

Hi,

I’ve been so busy teaching in person one the past few weeks that time has just flown by. I cannot believe it is almost summer.

I want to remind you that if you wish to attend the Tuscan retreat then this is your lat chance to book before I publish this as an open course to all previous students.

You will need:

1) Book your accommodation and your activities need to be paid for separately and directly with me.

2) You will need to contribute to your lunch and cheese making and wine tasting please.!

This week is half term

Take some time to explore our latest insights on the therapeutic benefits of baking. We have two new articles that are essential reads for anyone interested in the intersection of mental health and baking:

1. Bake One, Give One: Enhancing Mental Health Through Baking

Thank you to Dr Ed Copley for his input on this feature. This article delves into the “Bake One, Give One” initiative, which encourages baking one loaf of healthy bread for yourself and giving one away. Discover how this simple act fosters mental well-being and strengthens community connections. Key sections include:

2. Engaging People with Baking as Lifestyle Medicine

This piece provides a comprehensive framework for engaging patients in baking as a form of lifestyle medicine from the Diploma

Both articles emphasise the power of baking to support mental health and well-being by fostering curiosity, providing a supportive environment, and encouraging community connections.

Make sure to read these insightful articles this week to deepen your understanding and find new ways to integrate baking into your lifestyle for enhanced well-being.

IMP Conference 6th, 7th, 8th June

I’m delighted to share that I will be attending the Integrative and Personalised Medicine Congress in London. This event spans three days and includes three significant conferences: Whole-person Health, Integrative Mental Health, and Food on Prescription. I’ll be hosting a stand where we can discuss the latest in health, nutrition, and the BALM protocol for healthy bread. It’s a fantastic opportunity to connect, share knowledge, and explore new ideas in personalised medicine. I look forward to meeting you all there, and I am doing a short workshop in person at 3pm on the Saturday 8th.

Enjoy your half term break
