This session is the way I manage all my student’s admin.

Procedure

In recent years I receive a very high volume of AI-generated spam. Despite the best software I must filter through over 100 very realistic reading emails daily, which is time-consuming and as a result I miss communications.

This is also a matter of time and getting to know you. From years of teaching, I know that issues that can be resolved in a single live Zoom session can often take days of back-and-forth emails, so this approach, whilst perhaps not conventional, is significantly more expedient.

These sessions are recorded but not published and this it the way all admin is resolved because it is a direct and efficient conduit for managing the small administrative tasks and I can make sure my students receive the necessary support. By handling issues personally during these sessions, I can provide immediate responses, which is a far more expedient method than lengthy email exchanges.

You are muted and asked to be respectful of the other students in the meeting.  It is an open session and I am happy to chat with people once I have answered any questions sent in, and I have enough time.
