An overview of the potential benefits of fermentation

Learning Outcome

To see a summary of all the pathways from the research on the potential benefits of fermentation on the impact on health. This diagram includes both in vitro and animal studies, as well as pilot studies. It is important to remember that these are not 'claims', and as such human research on some of these has yet to be carried out. Nevertheless, understanding these mechanisms allows us to understand some of the known benefits as well as the potential benefits. This diagram illustrates one of the key underpinnings of the theory of microbial equality.
