Red porridge

Learning Objective

Rich in antioxidants: the ingredients in the Red Porridge, such as rooibos, rose petals, hibiscus flowers, goji berries, blackberries, and red rice, contain various antioxidants like anthocyanins, flavonoids, and polyphenols. These antioxidants help protect the body against oxidative stress, which can contribute to the development of chronic diseases like heart disease, cancer, and diabetes.

The Red Porridge contains ingredients such as red mung beans, red lentils, British chickpeas, and seaweed, which provide a variety of dietary fibres and prebiotics. These fibres help promote the growth of beneficial gut bacteria like Lactobacilli, Bifidobacteria, Faecalibacterium prausnitzii, Roseburia, Phascolarctobacterium, Coprococcus, and Bacteroides. A diverse gut microbiome is essential for good digestion, immune function, and overall health.
