About
I have been a health practitioner for almost 25 years, beginning this journey as a naturopath / nutritionist with a degree in Complementary Medicine. Subsequently I have done further study in Psychotherapy, Coaching Psychology and Trauma Therapy. I am passionate about all aspects of health and well being, much along the lines of the 'Blue Zones'. I work primarily as a trauma therapist, however still have naturopathic clients and I share information on our website and app (healthyluxe.com.au and the healthy luxe app. Food quality, organic produce, as well as nutrient density and variety has always been my focus in this space, as opposed to calorie counting and fad diets. One size does not fit all and the way we eat is as important as what we eat. This is most easily demonstrated by those experiencing anxiety, depression, stress almost always also experiencing digestive issues due to nervous system / vagus nerve dysregulation.
Although I cook a lot, I am quite a novice at bread baking and learning to make sourdough well has been something I have wanted to do for a long time, and as with everything I choose to do, I would like to learn properly, hence choosing this school.
How I use BALM Protocol
Firstly, I would like to be able to bake good quality bread! Awareness and research around gut health and the microbiome has grown exponentially over recent years and I am looking forward to deepening my own understanding. Apart from applying this information for my clients, there are a number of projects that I have in my head which I will allow to incubate and develop.
