I bake for my family and friends. I find it meditative and love sharing it with others. I love having sourdough toasted with butter & marmite, perhaps a fried egg on top with some homemade kimchi. I so enjoy seeing how the dough responds to the seasons and my challenge is being flexible enough to adapt to its needs.
My Work
I am based in Surrey and Cornwall. I am purely a home cook. I love taking bread to friends’ houses. Bread usually starts a conversation and leaves people filled emotionally.

I love the simplicity and complexity of it….it is part of my role of providing for my family…ridiculous really, but it makes me happy.
My Community
I wish more people would know how to bake sourdough or made fermented foods (yoghurt, kimchi, kraut etc)…it is all so simple and gets me back to knowing exactly what is in my food that I then put inside my body….and the flavours are just so much better. I don’t think I have bought a loaf of bread inside a plastic bag since I started making sourdough about six years ago…and I love that …and if I’m being honest, it makes me feel quite smug!! And it is so much cheaper!!!

Share, share, share…. I have shared my sourdough starter with so many people since someone gave me some six years ago…and I’ve helped them get started too…id love to know more about how to make better, more diverse ingredient loaves….and would love to them pass that knowledge and delicious taste onwards.
