My favorite way to eat bread is sliced with butter, peanut-butter and some homemade marmelade. This is normally my breakfast + lunch. I bake for my boyfriend and myself. When my kids are at home i holidays ( I have 3) I bake for them too. Sometimes I bake for my friends, or family ask me to bake bread or focaccia for birthdays etc. Sourdough bread ( and my mothers bread) is the only bread I can eat without getting pain in my gut. The same for my boyfriend.
My Work
I am based on a farm in the south-eastern part of Norway, about 2,5 hours drive north of Oslo, 13 kilometers from a small town called Lillehammer.
I run the family farm. 5th generation. I do not have any cattle, and I have another farmer run my farm- land (he rents it from me). My parents had dairy-cattle. The farm do also have a forest, which I love much more than driving a tractor... I have about 20 wooden houses on my land: 3 living houses + 3 small cottages, and the rest is mainly old barns etc - nice in the landscape. I call myself a "landscape-keeper" . Traditions: My mother and grandmother used to bake all their bread (yeast), all juice we drank, marmelade we ate where made from berries in the garden or our forest. We eat meat from our cows, eggs from my mums hens. I do homemade jam & juice + sourdough bread.

My baking-project: The more I bake the more I learn. I have had some online-courses in sourdough baking. I want to do more courses = help more people to bake sourdough bread. I love your 10 min sourdough baking metode. Sourdough baking: plain/ simple baking - for everyday life = eat bread in your everyday life. I love that eating sourdough bread = you eat fermented food = so good for your gut. One of my passions is to help others bake sourdough bread in an easy way.
My Community
I have an Instagram account where I tell about my sourdough baking. Many say: I do not eat bread because I get pain in my gut/ stomach. Many are curious about my way of sourdough baking, because I do no-knead bread/ I only use my spatula when making the dough. It is so nice to make a dough in silence. No sound of a kitchen machine. I think that if you eat proper homemade bread / bread from artisan bakers / or bake your own bread - preferably sourdough breads - you get so much more minerals, vitamins, energy from your bread. Norway is a "bread-eating-country": we eat bread for breakfast, lunch and often supper too. And the bread you buy in the groceries is garbage.
How I use BALM Protocol
I would like to pass on my knowledge to others trough online courses. I would love to make a bakery here at the farm...but I am afraid of the work-load... My daughter & her husband will buy the farm from me i 2027. Then I am free to do whatever I like.
